CAMP CONCERT ITEM BRIEF

                                           

Students will self select a task in the following disciplines:
                                                              MUSIC BRIEF
Students will understand the elements of Music:
Beat - is the underlying pulse in most music; basic unit of timing or rhythm.
Rhythm - the movement of music in time.
Pitch - highness or lowness of sound.
Tempo - the speed of a beat in a piece of music.
Tone colour or
Timbre - quality of sound, characteristic sound of a particular instrument or voice.
Dynamics - the loudness and softness of music.


BY
  1. forming music ensembles (instrumental, vocal, digital or mixed) and rehearsing or performing an item or bracket.
  2. practising or rehearsing compositions in a safe environment to gain the confidence to perform and present in front of an audience.








                                                   DANCE BRIEF
Students will understand the elements of Dance:

BODY AWARENESS
SPACE
TIME
ENERGY
RELATIONSHIPS

BY:

  1. exploring with movement using patterns with or without music.
  2. moving in relation to another person’s space.
  3. using choreographic devices eg. repetition, reverse & canon in a dance routine
  4. choreographing a routine using the dance elements: body awareness; space; time; energy & relationships.
  5. practising dancing in a safe environment to gain the confidence to perform in front of an audience.





                                                   DRAMA BRIEF
Students will understand the elements of Drama:
Focus
Action
Role
Tension & Time
Space


BY:

  1. applying these techniques in presented scenarios/ scripts of any genre, role plays & public speaking.
  2. practising communication & improvisation skills in a safe environment to gain confidence to perform, MC, role play and communicate in front of an audience.
  3. knowing that script has intention and improvisation draws on from whatever is available at the time
  4. Creating an iMovie or Stop Motion Film
  5. Performing Circus skills, Card tricks, Fortune telling or various activities and addressing the audience.
